Ever catch yourself wondering if there's really more to life than this, or that there must be more to this faith stuff than doing the same old thing Sunday after Sunday? If so, you'll find yourself in good company here. Not only do we seek to be a place that actively imagines how God is at work in the world, but we look carefully at all aspects of our life together. In that regard we strongly encourage all members to be an active part of both our worship and our educational life. We feel that if we're going to be any good to folks in our neighborhood, our community, our world, we need to be prepared to bring the good news to them, and that means attending to our own faith house.
If you're interested in strengthening and expanding your faith there's a variety of options here
-
On Sunday mornings at 9am "FLOC" (First Lutheran's Other Class) meets to examine issues of faith and life; we seek to answer the question: "What does it mean to be God's person in the world?"
- We offer two Bible Studies during the week, one Tuesday mornings at 11am, and one at 7pm Wednesday evening.
- On the second Saturday of each month at 9am our Women’s Bible Study meets at City Brew Coffee, 1131 N. 27th.
- If you're interested in expanding your prayer life, our "Prayer Company" group meets Tuesday mornings at 7:30 and spends time identifying and praying for the needs of the community and world.
